Welcome To Reading Crypto and Blockchain Society

Reading Crypto Society was founded by students who have high interest in the development and growth of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies and Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs). Storage of data and information on a decentralised ledger can offer limitless potential in all sorts of business environments we are here to explore it.

In our society we aim to educate ourselves with this rather new financial topic, talk about investment opportunities, political developments and market movements.

Frequent group meetings

To keep up with current cryptocurrency and blockchain topics we will host frequent society meet-ups. These will include social, networking and discussion events.

In these gatherings, advancements regarding major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP) etc. will be discussed. Additionally, updates will be given about upcoming ICO projects and major political news. For instance, we will closely monitor and follow the SECs decision regarding the Bitcoin Exchange Traded Fund (ETF), which was proposed late 2017 and until further notice rejected in August 2018. Major decisions like these will continue to show up in the future.

Weekly Newsletter

We are planning to create a weekly newsletter which will be sent to our subscribers (for free). Topics on the newsletter will include:

• Weekly price developments in BTC, ETH, BCH, RXP and other big coins

• Major political news (SEC, Geopolitical etc.)

• Exchange related news (Binance, Bittrex etc.)

• ICO news. E.g. upcoming projects, funding, product, technology

• Blockchain uses and adaptions in the real world

• investment advice

Expert Speaker Invitations

Throughout the year we will work on inviting speakers from different industries to talk about various crypto-related topics. These may include, professional traders, crypto exchanges, miners and developers. The aim is to find speakers in all fields related to Crypto and Blockchain

Networking events

Along with the Speaker Events we will try to organise networking events. Such events are planned to connect our students to the industries, to receive hands-on insights with leaders of the crypto-financial world.
